Things suffer from these sort of actions. My school grades slumped, my
girlfriend got annoyed at the amount of time I used to spend on the
machine, I got tired... Sure this is all very fun in the start, but after
three years of it, you lose interest.
So what did I do? Well I stopped swapping for a fair while and had a
break. In this time I enjoyed life, and when I felt like it, I decided to
start all over again. That stopped a lot of late nights.
To stop people coming around to 'copy copy copy', I have told them all I no
longer deal in games, but am only dealing legal stuff (ha ha, and they
believed me). When I get games from now on, I look at them, then put them
away (unless it's a really cool game!).
And now, seeing as I have more time for my life besides computing, my
relationship with my girlfriend couldn't be better, and I don't have lamers
bugging me anymore.
And to solve my occasional 'need' to play games, I went and bought an Atari
Lynx. Seeing as I have to buy the games, I appreciate them more!
Anyway the moral to this little article is remember there is more to life
then just the computer. This kind of story has been written many times,
but I thought I would just add my bit!.
